Manchester United at at Old Trafford for this weekend’s Premier League showdown versus Chelsea. Both sides have picked up just one win in their last three league matches but the burden is on Jose Mourinho’s side to produce the goods in their home turf. The Mancunian giants are presently on 56 points for the season and anything less than a win on Sunday may witness them drop to third place behind Liverpool.
In a report covered by United’s official website, Jose Mourinho confirmed that there has not been anything positive with regards to the injury front. As such, Ander Herrera remains out for a ‘few weeks’ with a hamstring injury and the Spaniard has joined the likes of Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Marouane Fellaini and Daley Blind in the treatment room.
On the contrary, Antonio Conte revealed that the club did not suffer any injury setback from the previous week but they remain without David Luiz, Tiemoue Bakayoko and winter signing Ross Barkley. Conte deployed Eden Hazard in the false number nine role against Barcelona but one of Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata could feature from the start at the Theatre of Dreams.
The Red Devils have not had a fond time against Chelsea in their home patch and they have attained just one win in their previous six appearances. That win came in a 2-0 triumph last season where Marcus Rashford and Ander Herrera found the scoresheet. We are anticipating a score-draw.
