England international Jack Wilshere has dropped a genuine hint that he could be leaving Arsenal at the expiry of his deal this month. The 26-year-old has been with the Gunners since the tender age of nine but he appears set for an emotional departure in the coming weeks.
Earlier last week, it had been suggested that Wilshere would hold talks with new manager Unai Emery regarding his future and though, there have been no reports since the alleged meeting, the midfielder seems to have made his decision to move on.
On Wednesday night, Wilshere decided to give his Instagram followers a glimpse of his future by posting a phrase shown below but the message has since been deleted after the criticism levied upon him by the Gunners faithful.
Wilshere has had his fond share of injury concerns over the past few years with the Gunners and this has somewhat hampered his progress with both club and country.
As such, he has played a restricted role on most occasions with the Gunners and the Englishman does not seem prepared for the same under new head coach Emery.
Emery has already stepped up the club’s pursuit of a new central midfielder this summer and the arrival of a new recruit may coincide with Wilshere’s exit from the Emirates Stadium.
