Serie A holders Juventus are reportedly making strides towards securing the signature of midfielder Aaron Ramsey from Arsenal. The Wales international has made exactly 350 appearances for the Gunners in all competitions but his decade-long stay could end next summer with the hierarchy opting against extending his contract beyond that period.
Amidst this, the former Cardiff City graduate has been linked with a number of top European clubs but according to Sky Sports News, the Bianconeri seem to have the advantage with contact likely to be made with the Welshman when the transfer window reopens.
Ramsey has struggled to secure a regular berth in the starting lineup under Unai Emery this campaign but he has nonetheless impressed with his performances and has already managed one goal and six assists in the Premier League.
Despite this, the board appear to have no plans of renegotiating a new contract with the midfielder after having previously rescinded a proposal on the table during the month of September.
As such, the Welshman may have no other choice than to part ways with the club but a mid-season departure still remains unlikely, considering the attack front has been weakened with Henrikh Mkhitaryan recently joining Danny Welbeck in the physio room.
Ramsey has been an unused substitute in each of the previous two league matches but he could feature on the road to Brighton & Hove Albion this weekend with Emery likely to rotate his players despite the injury crisis which has bestowed upon them.
