Juventus set time frame for Aaron Ramsey deal in January

Serie A holders Juventus are understood to have given a time frame to Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey to agree on a pre-contract when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.

The Wales international has just seven months remaining on his current deal with the Gunners and this has intensified speculation regarding his future with the north London side understood to have no ambition of extending his stay further.

Amidst this, he has been regularly linked with a potential exit from the Emirates Stadium and according to The Sun, the Bianconeri are deemed favourites to lure him on a pre-contract agreement.

Nonetheless, the Turin giants are understood to want a quick resolution over the same at the turn of the year or else they could switch their attention towards Paris Saint-Germain’s Adrien Rabiot, who is in a similar situation.

Unlike Ramsey, Les Parisiens are yet to close the door on a probable extension for Rabiot but they appear to have reached a stumbling block with the midfielder supposedly looking to join a bigger league.

Juventus have made another strong start to the season with points dropped in just one of their league matches and this sees them with a eight-point advantage over second-placed Napoli at the top of the summit.

Max Allegri’s side have equally impressed with their proceedings in the Champions League and they are within one point of sealing their progress to the knockout phase of the elite competition next year.
