French champions Paris Saint-Germain are understood to have made contact with super-agent Mino Raiola regarding a prospective move for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba in the summer.
The France international has produced a mixed showing with the Red Devils this term and it is now claimed that his representative Raiola is looking into the prospect of a fresh challenge away from Old Trafford.
According to ESPN, Raiola has spoken to a number of top European sides over Pogba’s availability and Les Parisiens are seemingly keen on acquiring his signature. It is added that the midfielder’s agent has been in contact with the Capital outfit for ‘months’ and there is a probable chance of a summer deal going through.
Despite the speculation, United boss Jose Mourinho has always been in support of the former Juventus man and Pogba’s exit from Old Trafford would surely come as a surprise for the United faithful.
With Michael Carrick’s retiring and Marouane Fellaini reluctant to extend his contract beyond the summer and Pogba is likely to emerge into a more influential figure in his third season since his comeback.
Pogba has come for plenty of criticism over his performances every now and then but this has often helped him in thrive with a recent example being his match-winning brace in the stunning 3-2 derby win over Manchester City.
Paris Saint-Germain certainly have the spending might after their recent world-record purchase of Neymar but United cannot afford to Pogba with Carrick and probably Fellaini heading through the exit door this summer.
