Arsenal have received a triple injury boost ahead of this weekend’s Premier League outing at Bournemouth. The Gunners recently witnessed minor setbacks for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (back) and Alexandre Lacazette (groin) which saw them pull out of their respective international squads and this had brought up a concern, given third-choice striker Danny Welbeck has been ruled out for the long-term following his double ankle surgery.
However, during Wednesday’s training session, via the club’s official website, the duo took part in full training alongside their fellow teammates and this should put them in line to feature when the Gunners make the trip to the South Coast on Sunday.
Apart from the pair, club-captain Laurent Koscielny also joined up for the complete training session after going through his rehabilitation with the physio before the recent international break.
The upcoming game may come too soon for the skipper, who should be lacking significant match fitness but he could expect to feature for the Gunners during the hectic festive schedule with the club still alive across all competitions.
Arsenal have gone unbeaten for 16 matches on the bounce since the league defeat at Chelsea but they have recently struggled to find the cutting edge to the play which has witnessed four draws from the previous five matches.
Among those, they have drawn three successive Premier League matches and the onus is on Emery’s team to turn around the recent run of form to catch up with the teams in the Champions League positions.
Arsenal are currently three points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur but they can potentially jump above in the standings, should their arch-rivals succumb to a derby defeat at the hands of Chelsea this weekend.
