Manchester United fans were pleased with the showing of midfielder Paul Pogba during the club’s epic 3-2 comeback win over Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Red Devils found themselves in deep trouble after finding themselves 2-0 down within the opening 10 minutes and the scoreline remained the same heading into the half-time interval.
However, during the second half, there was an evident increase in momentum from the hosts and Pogba, who made the positional change to a deeper midfield role was hugely instrumental.
The Frenchman did not bag himself a goal for his efforts but he played his part in lead-up to each of the goals whilst contributing the assist for Anthony Martial’s equalising strike.
I hope journalists cover that performance of Paul Pogba, because although he supposedly has a fractured relationship with Mourinho, he came out after half time and grabbed that game by the scruff of the neck today. He was incredible.

Manchester United fans may not want to hear this, but Jose Mourinho playing Paul Pogba at CB in the second half changed the game. Pogba orchestrated the second half and changed the game. Top performance from the Frenchman.

Mourinho's changes worked excellently, really. Pogba was very effective in the deep midfield role.

Paul Pogba. I'm sorry but he's my baller. He's so good. Players like this should never be made to change who they are. The more often we attack..the more often Pogba shows his class.
Still a massive Lukaku problem. He shudnt be at RW when we need a goal.

Proud of everyone but Pogba has given his life on the pitch today.

Fans and reporters alike were scratching their heads when Paul Pogba lined up in such a deep-lying role at the start of the second-half. But, just like against City, he spearheaded that comeback from 2-0 down at half-time. Broke from deep and 'killed'. Kudos. #mufc

Unlike in recent game, the Mancunian giants showed an attacking intent which has been missing in second half of matches and one could say that they had no choice, given the difficult situation they were in.
The comeback triumph has ensured that Jose Mourinho has some more time to overturn the club’s average start to the season and he will be hoping that the team can build on a winning streak following the international break.
Meanwhile, the game could also provide a turning point to Alexis Sanchez’s career after the Chilean bagged the winning goal before stoppage time. The attacker’s strike was only his fourth in the Premier League since his winter switch from Arsenal.
