Manchester United fans were not pleased with manager Jose Mourinho after his side succumbed to a disappointing 3-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils had come into the game on the back of a shock 3-2 defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion and their performance during the first period was impressive as they showed more attacking intent.
Despite this, they went into the break with a 0-0 scoreline after failing to their chances pay including a clear-cut opportunity for Romelu Lukaku, who had the goal at his mercy in the 10th minute.
Following the interval, Spurs were clearly the better side with the attacking intent and they eventually capitalised with Harry Kane and a brace from Lucas Moura ensuring a 3-0 rout.
Here are some of the tweets from the league meeting:
Feels like a ‘Moyes moment’ this evening. By that I mean #MUFC had a go, but lacked heart and ideas when #THFC went 1-0 up. You never felt United could recover. Obviously issues away from the pitch, but is Mourinho getting the most out of what he’s got? Nowhere near I’m afraid.

I can’t believe some people think it’s not Mourinho’s fault.
1. He has the best CM in the world at his disposal and he is making him look like Kouyate
2. He played Herrera in a back 3 when Lindelof’s available as a form of rebellion against Woodward for not signing a defender

Can’t wait till the day Mourinho gets sacked. Too bad it’s not gonna happen till a few months. This isn’t the LVG era, this has the feel of Moyes all over. #mufc

When a José Mourinho team is conceding six goals over two consecutive games, you know things are at rock bottom. No cohesion whatsoever.

Mourinho hasn’t lost the dressing room, with the exception of one or two, those players played for him and that’s the concerning part.

Mourinho had been desperate to pursue a new central defender during the summer but the club’s hierarchy were reluctant to spend over the odds to fulfil the Portuguese’s transfer demands.
As such, the move appears to have hampered United with seven goals conceded from just three outings and Mourinho now requires a quick turnaround versus Burnley this weekend or else he may be in danger of getting the sack.
Manchester United have dropped into the lower half of the standings after back-to-back defeats versus Brighton and Spurs, and they are already six points adrift of the top-four after just three matches into the campaign.
